Slant Coil Spring Seal 300 Series

Inclined Coil Spring Energized Seal Product Line SES:

Inclined Coil springs are coiled torsion springs wound from circular wire. The primary advantages of inclined coil spring energized seals are their inherent consistent load-per-deflection values throughout a significant range of seal jacket deflection and their ability to withstand excessive deformation during difficult seal assembly installations. Standard cross-sections are available, 1/16″ to 5/8″, as is with the helical wound and cantilever spring designs.
Inclined Coil Spring Energized Seals

The slant coil spring seal 300 series provides additional design benefits regarding extremely small diameters and seal cross-sections; cross-sections less than the standard 1/16″ are available expanding the spring energized cross-sectional range of the SES product line. Due to the inherent consistent spring load characteristics inclined coil designs are utilized in reciprocating, rotary and oscillatory motion applications. The precision scientific instrumentation market has successfully utilized this type of spring design over the past 35+ years where small cross-sectional seal design requirements are prominent.
Standard spring materials offered include 302 Stainless Steel, Elgiloy™, and Inconel.

(Additional materials are available as required per application.)
