Cantilever Spring Seal 100 Series

“U” & “V”-shaped cantilever spring seals provide mechanical compressive force to the seal jacket, utilizing spring load from cantilever compression to initiate sealing. The Cantilever Spring Seal 100 Series is system pressure- activated, with differential pressure assisting as the primary sealing force.

Key Benefits & Applications

Optimized seal performance at lower system pressures (≤100–5000 psi)
Essential for sealing due to material wear, thermal effects, eccentricity, and surface imperfections
Ideal for reciprocating, oscillating, and angular motions
Low dynamic friction achievable with proper spring and seal jacket selection

Load & Size Variability

Precision Machining Load-per-inch deflection: 3 to 35+ lbs per linear inch
Size Range Spring rate varies by cross-section, thickness, and geometry
Available cross-sections: 1/16″ to 5/8″ (custom sizes available)

Specialized Designs
